Plastics Direct and Northern Signcases share a headquarters on the Vulcan Business Park in Oldham. When they wanted a first-class solar PV system, they came to us.
We sized the system to their electricity demand, designed it and secured connection approval from Electricity North West. During the survey we found that the existing trapezoidal metal roof could not safely carry the array. We brought in structural engineers T J Booth Associates and construction firm RPMG, who replaced 1,800m² of roof before installation began.
We then fitted 120 LONGi 570W panels on a K2 mounting system, with trunking and containment down to the distribution board. Instead of replacing an incompatible distribution board, we specified two Solis 20kW inverters in place of one larger unit, saving the client the cost and disruption.
- Solar PV design and DNO application
- Structural assessment and re-roof coordination
- 120 × LONGi 570W panels on K2 mounting
- Dual Solis 20kW inverters
- Containment to distribution board
- Testing, commissioning and handover
“They displayed meticulous workmanship and outstanding customer service throughout, providing us with years of support from our first inquiry to handing over the system.”
“Solar PV is an investment with a fantastic long-term return and a relatively short payback period.”
